Bamboozle Web Services Adds S3-Compatible Object Storage to Its Austria Cloud Region
Bamboozle Web Services today announced the general availability of BWS Object Storage in its existing Austria (Vienna) cloud region.
The new service gives Austrian customers a fully S3-compatible way to store and retrieve data entirely within the country's borders.
Bamboozle Web Services today announced the general availability of BWS Object Storage in its existing Austria (Vienna) cloud region. The service is fully compatible with the Amazon S3 API, meaning applications and tools already built on S3-compatible protocols can connect without any code changes.
Data is stored across the availability zones within the Austria region and remains on Austrian soil at all times. No cross-region or cross-border replication is offered; the service is designed for customers who require strict data residency within the country. Objects are encrypted at rest using AES-256 by default.
Storage is priced at $0.0288 per GB per month for the first 50 TB. API requests are billed separately — write operations (PUT, COPY, POST, LIST) at $0.05 per 10,000 requests, and read operations (GET, SELECT) at $0.004 per 10,000 requests. Egress is charged at $0.0717 per GB per month.
The service is available to all BWS customers today via the management console. Full pricing details and a cost calculator are available at bamboozle.me/pricing.
